Does anyone know if Leviton is coming up with new programmable controllers. Their older ones seems to be out of stock and there will be no further supply

Which "older one" are you talking about?
Bill E. might know about any upcoming relases as he's been to at least one trade show recently. Bill?

Leviton has slowly drifted away from X10 they do have their new Monet and Mural lines which use CE bus instead from what I gather.

The new xmitters from Smarthome (and a few others) are indeed superior IMHO -- I assume you are talking about the KeyPadLinc.
They do not need sequential addresses for each button and will verify the status of two devices such as SwitchLincs (argh) and two way lamp and appliance module and may be used in either a toggle or non toggle mode and do not need seperate buttons devoted to bright and dim.
I bought one from Smarthome and then bought two more from Bill E. -- and was very happy with his service.
Cheers, Jim.

I can somewhat confirm Roughneck's statement that Leviton seems to be backing away from X10. I was at a home automation demo/seminar put on by Sun the other day, and an Echelon VP was there. I talked to him for a while, and got the disctinct impression that Leviton is moving toward LON for their residential PLC line (thay have already been using LON for commercial applications). Now if the proces of LON would only come down to the X10 level....

I agree Leviton is far from backing away from the X10 world. In fact it looks to me like they are going after it with a passion. I am meeting with them this Friday to discuss carrying their new line. As much as I dislike their proprietary code some of their new X10 products are very sweet. They did give up on the touch screen controller but the new one coming out looks extremely user friendly for your average home owner. Bill www.homeautomationnet.com
