I use a touchlinc 4.0 and a Maxi Control app for it.

Not really, it's just a nice, convenient, and cheap controller that's capable of sending all standard X10 commands.

The IR543 can do all the commands but only if you're using a remote in conjunction with the IR543. The IR543 alone can only do unit code 1-8. That's kind of annoying when you're programming.

What *WON'T* work is a controller that has a single button for the unit code *AND* the on/off code. This is what the RF controllers, many in-wall controllers, and the mini-controllers typically do. Those won't work.
