Frequency range of Powermid repeaters?

Does anyone know what IR frequency range the X10 Powermid style repeaters are capable of receiving and re-transmitting? I'd like to implement some other products along with my x10 IR control, but these new items operate in the 38KHz range.

Thanks in advance,
Zac

Hey, that wasn’t easy to find. None of the documentation says anything about specs. Finally went to the FCC site and looked up their license. It's 418MHz, but be aware this is a single carrier frequency. The IR is modulated over this one frequency.

Bill,

You went above and beyond the call of duty to answer this one, I greatly appreciate your help. I assume though that 418MHz is the RF frequency that they are using to transmit between the pyramids. This will be useful information, but I am actually trying to determine whether they will recognize the 38KHz IR signal that this device transmits so that I can repeat it. I think that most remote controls stay around the 46KHz range, so I'm not sure if the pyramids extend down to the 38KHz region or not.

I am fairly sure the IR extends down to the 15-20KHz range. What is the remote that you are trying to use it with. I could check to see if it's on the PUR08's 8-1 remotes list, as I know everything this remote puts out the PEX01's can handle.

The IR item isn't a remote, it's a wireless keyboard that I want to use for programming the HA/HT computer. Since there will already be a PEX01 setup from the entartainment center to the computer location, this would be the easiest solution for programming.

Thanks,
Zac

Well I would think that at 35KHz you are not going to have that much trouble. That’s in a fairly common range in the remote word.
