Got a call from my local RTI rep today letting me know that the T3, RK3, T4, and K4 will now be supporting flash. He wasn't sure about the T2C.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

When I was at Netstreams training the other day... the Netstreams guy said. "There is an Flash Enabled RTI in the building." I asked the reps where that might be and was told that they were "going to have one.."

Well for flash to be doing anything I guess they need to finally gives us Wifi on the T3s. Its always been listed as future...

The big one I was looking to, was getting the interface to Digilinx going with RTI and maybe Sonos.

T2c having Flash too? Hmm...

(My RTI rep has been hard to get hold of as of late.)

Whats an RTI rep? Dont know that Ive ever had one of those. I ususally know more about RTI than (most of) the counter guys at A###.

Seriously though, do you guys actually have guys from A### assigned to deal w RTI? do you have "reps" from RTI directly?
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

I thought you were supposed to know what you want when you order it from 'the counter guy's'. They have rep's??

I wish I could get the contract to create a nice Flash web interface for Escient, to be used on the RTI.

I'm a pretty good flash programmer (although a bit out of practice)... here's a website I did for my old band:
[Link: members.shaw.ca]

I know that intros aren't cool for websites, but it was a fun one to create because we didn't really care about user experience (it wasn't a commercial venture at that time).

With flash, its pretty cool how you can get data from a server (ie Escient) and display it, without having to reload the page. Could make for a very sexy interface if done properly.. and I haven't seen a good example yet (I think the Netstreams version is pretty poor imo)...

As I understand it or thought that I did. RTI has reps for regions. They handle the training at A#@D and look after things that the A#@D boys don't.

When I call his voice mail it says... "this is _____ with RTI."

When I have questions about things or ideas about interfaces that I think should be implemented I send them to him.

But i have not been able to get a hold of him for a few weeks now. SO I guess its time start bugging Bret Directly...

I believe Tom may have been referring to our A$$D office, who does have an RTI 'champion' of sorts and who does call several of us proactively with updates and information about several different lines.

I feel sorry for those of you in different territories...

Just spoke to RTI direct. The flash is not enabled. They are not sure when it will be.
