Can Pronto CCF hexcodes just be copied and pasted in the appropriate tab in IR Library Manager without using an actual Pronto as an intermediary? Wondering if this is the best way to get older equipment with missing OEM remotes and not in RTI (or mega's ) libraries....

The same hexcodes work in Pronto and RTI without using the Pronto in the middle. Just copy and paste.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Ditto: Yes. I have done this with several components. In fact, I still use a TS1000 to learn new codes as its learner seems to be REALLY good, and I have just had a problem with the first code in about a year. You can see that discussion in a thread named Unpredictable Results: T2+, Rp6, Stewart Filmscreen
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie, have you tried the IRPRO to learn the codes?? its just another thought that might have already been covered and i missed.

another thing to try is make a System macro on the RP6 but leave out the screen command and then on the button call the system command and add the screen command as another step in the macro

If you want to send me the program I can take a look at it and create another program with a system command and regular command in a macro to see if we can get it working...I can see the steam coming from your ears clear over here

Cut and paste the hex. Did this first when I started writing my T3 OS. None of this URC universal browser that never actually worked when I needed it too. Had to have a pronto there to emit the code then capture with the MX-850. That was a pain.

I have the IR pro but have not been given the green light to move to the T3. We sell the TSU7500 all day and night and have good results. If I were less diligent and had buggier PCFs then I think my boss would hop to RTI quicker. Right now I am trying to get my system bent to work on the T3 seemlessly. Unfortunatly for me i have been working with Philips for so long I have lots of stuff I need to convert.

Back when I did a few Sonance keypads, I bought one with a learning function and installed it in a little suitcase to use as a learner for Sonance and RTI, as Sonance uses RTI software. So this is what I use if I want to learn codes directly into the RTI software.

I still am stuck on having codes for my Prontos, though, so I ALWAYS learn the codes into the TS1000, then copy and paste. Note that "always" refers to the 2, that's right, only two, RITs that I have programmed. I am sure I will get too too tired of the Pronto/copy process if I have to do a lot of it.

The IR pro is awesome. I know that I can get any job done with it, and not have to come back later to finish a command/macro. Its a must have, IMO.

I figured out the Stewart Filmscreen problem so many days ago that I don't remember for sure, so I know it wasn't earthshaking. I think I turned down the IR output of the RP-6 and everything behaved nicely after that.

I'm in the same situation (presently programming RTI,s the first time) and I'm glad I did the move. RTI's are much faster to program once you get the codes from the library cleaned out

What do you mean by cleaned out?? Just create a new Library with your favorites, that way if you ever do need them they are there for you

Also there is a MEga Code list and new icons here:

I normaly use codes generated with the Makehex program, I'm sure they're clean and get a faster and more reliable response from the sent commands. I don't believe the mega file was built this way...I've noticed many bad learns. Why would anybody need 125 Sony television codes?

Gotcha on that, have you sent in your codes to be added to the Mega code list??

Its growing fast, I am actually working on cleaning alot of it up..not deleteing alot but most of the duplicates and incompletes
