Hey

Has anyone got a RTI K4?

I have been looking at the software and manuals, and i see some promise in it,
I was hoping on some feedback.

What do YOU think?

I finally have a K4 in my dirty little hands.

Let me say this : WOW THIS THING ROCKS!

Beautiful display. Very responsive and accurate touch panel. Cool Internet browser (a bit clunky due to screen size... but it definately works.... NOTE: does not display FLASH graphics).

Has 4 composite video inputs standard (with BNC connectors.. thank you RTI!) and the video looks very good. I have a 320x240 window on one of my demo pages, displaying video from an old vcr, and it looks very good indeed. Plus, when you touch on the video window, it expands to full screen. Awesome. I'm going to work on a program now for our store system... or systems.. why not just control the whole showroom... it would probably handle it fine....

I'm working on a page that will display ALL of the zones on our in-store Nexus Audio system (controllable by RS232), so I can create "scenes" with a few clicks. Very neat.

Looks solid... and here's a tip: Connect a composite video from one of the new Pioneer (etc) receivers that does on-screen display of iPod playlists and songs (etc) and you've got really nice feedback for controlling an ipod.

Now I'm gonna have to re-do all of our "standard" prewire shopping lists and add Multiple cat-5 and 4 RG6 to ALL possible K4 locations...

Weeeeeee.
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...
