Please bear with me as this is going to be long and drawn out. I am new to the RTI stuff and trying to figure out its potential.

I am adding 2 U1's for a customer to use in her pool and hottub area. The existing system is an Elan S-6 with 4 zones using only Via's currently. The pool is sub-zoned on zone 4. I want to use (1) U1 to do minor controlling of volume (pool speakers only) source switching etc. It will piggy back IR on the zone with the VIA. I want to use the other U1 to control volume for the hottub which will be piggy backed on the kitchen zone. To discretely control volume in the sub-zones I used VSE's and have flashers on them out of the RP-6. My question is....Is there anyway I can dedicate a flasher output of the RP-6 to each of the remotes so I am not flashing both VSE's?

If it can't be done through programming, I can do it with an SR-1. I would rather not do that as I will have to extract the codes from VIA Tools to make it work with the RTI. It could potentially be a pain which I don't need.

Sure,

Have not done it for a U1 but have for T1's.

Make sure your RP-6 and both U1's are in the same TheaterTouch file. Select the first U1 and "right click" on a volume button. Select "Edit Properties" then the "IR Routing" tab. Make sure only the port you want the VSE volume command is checked and you will be good to go. Do it for both U1's vol up, vol down and mute commands.

Good luck,

George P.

Oh George, thanks a million. I am quickly falling in love with these RTi remotes, just as quickly as I am realizing the shortcomings of the MX 3000. This setup will work beautifully.
