No question the T3 and their entire product line has some very superior technology, generally and this solid technology is very bullet-proof and attractive to Custom Installers. (Despite the fact that RTI advertised the T3 with Wi-Fi about 1 year ago and it is still not even close to being implemented. I also question if this device will EVER be Wi-FI ready, despite what info is out there now. I am guessing it will never be wi-fi capable and RTI will point clients to the new, $2500 T4, as their only wi-fi product, available in March 06.

Their parts and pieces are very well designed remotes and all of that. And, likely for the price they should be. When you put together a T3 with the extra goodies like the RP-6 and the RM-433, you are talking about a $2000 solution, which still needs to be programmed. I am a supporter of the RTI line and I am also a supporter of the Nevo SL Line. Each have their place in the market. Interestingly the Nevo does a lot of things the T3 can do and a few things it cannot do. As well the RTI can do a bunch of things the Nevo SL cannot do, especially in the RF-Arena.

So, in my book, net-net, we use RTI locally when we have some more complex requirements. However, we still cannot address the client's wi-fi needs without having an expensive music server installed. In contrast, we can get a simple mp3 music server going, for about $1000 + programming, which makes this solution about $1000 less than RTI.
