Hello. Does anyone know of a site which hosts links to RS232 protocol information for home theatre equipment?

Specifically, I am currently searching for the RS232 protocol for Dreamvision Projectors (Dreamweaver Plus). Dreamvision apparently does not offer manuals on their site for download... And I dont' have a unit in stock at the moment (already installed...)

Thanks for any help.

You might be better off posting this in the custom installers forum and/or at ip.com.

What do you need?

I am a dreamvision dealer and have used serial to control just about every unit I have installed.

You will need a crossover cable or a null modem to get the CM-232 to interface with the projector.

The PDF manual at the following link has all of the serial codes you are looking for starting on page 37 [Link: dreamvision.net]

Well crap. How did you find that page. I just became a dealer and their web presence is awful. I just climed on dreamvision.net and cant get to any other manuals or technical info. Is there more stuff hidden behind the curtain? TIA.

The new Dreamvision site still has the old site resident in the background; you just need to know the URL for what you want like the throw distance calculator [Link: dreamvision.net]

One more question on this thread:

Do you happen to know how long you must delay between giving the POWER ON command and the INPUT command?

(PWR1) -> delay -> (SRC2)

Or can you send the SRC command BEFORE the PWR command and have it come on in the correct input?
Thanks again.

I have found that you need to get to the first screen before you try anything else, i.e. , you see the detecting input screen in the bottom left corner.

send the (SRC2) command before sending the power off command, that way the projector will come on each time with the correct input already selected.
