We have been using the RTI T2 and T2+ for several years. Lately we have had several failures of both models. We had several batches of bad T2's over the years. I stayed with them because the dead T2's were promptly replaced by the distributor and the capability of the RTI remotes. The T2+'s we have sold have the backlight work unreliability. Have others had similar experiences?

there is a firmware fix for the T2+ backlight:

'T2+ Version 1.02 Build 155 (ZIP, 26k)
This firmware update fixes a rare problem with the backlight not illuminating on some T2+ units. You do not need to upgrade your firmware if you are not experiencing this problem'

there is also an improved bezel (grey matte finish) to address static charge damage (it is easy to field change)

with the fixes above, the T2+ seems very reliable

I agree. The only problems I've experienced with the T2+ were a few programming glitches with the first version of the software and 2 remotes with the static problem. Matt was right there to painlessly see me through these difficulties. Great remote, great software, great support. Kudos, RTI!!!!
