Frank,

What I was trying to accomplish was 4 HD locations
to replace Voom in 4 locations. Sales at Dish
told me I could only have (didn't matter about
price) 3 HD, and one SD max. I even asked them
why I couldn't have a second sat dish (that I
paid for) and more 811's (that I paid for) or
another 942 (that I paid for).

Their answer...NO, only three HD locations period...end
of discussion.

Amazing how much business a comany like Dish looses
because the people that are selling their product
don't know what is going on.

What would be great for me, woud be the following,

811,811,942 HD and SD, 942 HD and SD. This would
give me 4 Hd locations and 2 SD locations. But
they told me it could not be done...regardless
of the cost.

Please advise.

First advice is to hang up and call back. I have to do this many times, to actually get a CSR who has worked there for more than a week, and is not just reading from a manual.

I sent you an e-mail w my phone #. call me tomorrow.

PS. you dont need a second sat dish either. (unless you want the VOOM channels, but thats for a different bird @ 61.5, not for more tuners) You can cascade their multi-switches for several tuners. These multi-switches actually come READY for the third sat input from the 61.5 bird.
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.
