Does anyone know if the DreamVision DLP projector has discrete Power ON/OFF commands? Power-ON only with original remote, then must go into on-screen menu to Power-OFF.

I didn't quite understand your thread reguarding discrete on/off codes for Dreamvision/Davis projectors. It sounded as though you found them. I too am looking for those codes, can you help? Thanx CV

you can make a macro to turn the dreamvision off.

i've done it with the pronto but not the RTI.

the macro is like...

1 menu button
2 right cursor
3 down cursor
4 trigger button

good luck

feel free to email me if you need more help.

Josh is 100% correct, I have used that same macro with the T2. However, there is still a flaw in using that macro. Because the "Menu" button is actually the "Power On" command, if you were to start the "Off" macro when the projector is Off, then it will turn On.

My solution was to replace the DreamVision with a Zenith DSV-110 which does have seperate ON and Off commands.

Does anyone want to buy a DreamVision at a very good price?

I believe discrete power is also available via rs232 on these units.

If You use power sensing and the RF unit Josh's solution will work every time.
