I have to make the switch form VOOM to Dish Network I upgraded to the new DVR942 receiver...... Received it yesterday and I was looking throught the manual and trying to envision how I should setup my remote. Should I setup a DVR screen....or should I add a panel to my existing DSS screen? I have never used a DVR before so I don't know the how to arrange the remote for daily use...

Thanks

T2+, I usually put them all on the same screen. If need to put extra functions on second page. You should be able to put all the everyday use items for both DSS and DVR on first page. I've never done a Dish but have done many DirecTV tivos

I program arrow buttons under the directional tactile buttons. I set up an Else Macro that will do the basic skip forward/back upon first press and scan forward/back upon repeat press under .02 seconds. Also, set up a PVR button on the first page of the device with redundancy for the PVR carriage functions on page 2 of the device.
I'll let you know tomorrow..
