Has anyone used the RS232 interface on an RP6 to control Sony's 400 disc DVD? I've been unable to find the 232 commands for the 777ES and may be forced to use IR. Any suggestions?

I have a partial RTI file that has the 232 commands for direct disc access. Its on my Laptop at the office. I'll try to remember to get it in the morning. I remeber the checksum calculation sucked..
I just remembered that i wrote an excel spreadsheet to do the calculation but it needs a Excel addin called "Morefunc" to handle the hex. I'll see if i can dig it up

I have uploaded the files to the RTI files area. There are two excel sheets one for the transports and one for the direct entry. if ou do not need to modify the excel sheets you will not need the morefunc addon.
the yellow colum on both sheets is the complete comman ready to be pasted into RTI TT. For the direct entry one make sure that you have hex off as i already have the proper encoding for RTI to handle the hex. For the transport file make sure it is on.\
Hope it helps
I dont know how long it will take to actaully post to the files section.

I 've developed DiscChanger.NET, a free ASP.NET Core 3.1 solution to manage the discs in DVP-CX777ES and BDP-CX7000ES changers. I use my DVP-CX777ES disc changers almost exclusively for audio, since they still hold their own in 2020, with SACD and regular CD support. The program can run on Windows (IIS) or Linux and I've tested it on Windows 10 and on a Raspberry Pi 4. A Raspberry Pi 4 has up to 5 serial ports and can control 5 changers out of the box. Probably more if you add USB serial ports but I have not tested how much of a load it can handle.DiscChanger.NET uses MusicBrainz to lookup the disc data given the table of contents from the changer serial RS232 interface and organizes the discs in a grid, making it convenient to use any of your tablets or computers to select discs or tracks to play.DiscChanger.NET also shows BD and DVD, but is not yet capable of performing metadata lookups for these disc types. It is an open source project and any contributions are welcomed. For more information, see http://readme.discchanger.net.
