I am going to level 1 and 2 training on Thursday - it will be my first exposure to RTI. I have downloaded the software. I have been doing HTMs for years and they have a good software programming manual that helps one get started. Does RTI have anything like that?

I just want to get a jump on the training so I am not totally green going in.

TIA.

I am by no means a master programer. And I learned a little over two years ago by just playing around with the software with no training. Believe me, if I can learn the software, anyone can. Now I'm the REMOTE GOD! at work ;-) just kidding. With those training courses, it's a snap! RTI has so many short cuts built in to the new version of the software, it's almost like torture going back to the older 1.12 version to program an original T2. If you have any experience with IR macros and beyond, it won't take long to catch on to the way the software handles the coding. I have faith in you my custom A/V brotha' from anotha' motha'! Seeya!!

I took the online training(2 hours) then 2 weeks later jumed in the Company Truck and drove 700 miles to install 2 with not much hands on with the remotes(we did 2 T1's) it wasnt too bad to do, we had 1 system up and running in a matter of hours added a video sensor to the DVD/VCR combo to monitor its power state, a few minor tweaks and all was well. And that included learning a handful of B&O codes to control CD player and TV. Now we are going back to do 4-5 more in the house and a couple on his boat

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
