I had the color pronto but like the looks of the T2+ more.
I'm looking for T2+ codes for the following

Yamaha Rx-V430 Receiver
Sylvania DVD/VCR combo
Phillips DVD-R
Bose Lifestyle 3

Does the T2 include RF, to control the Bose Lifestyle or is it only IR ?
Also can the T2 be trained codes ? how ?

just to add... I ask if the T2+ includes RF because it says it transmitts in IR and RF on rticorp.com but I think that is just to their own RF hardware, not to RF controlled devices like the Bose.

And the phillips DVD-R is the DVD-R75

thanks

The T2+ will transmit RF (with required optional components) but only to its own hardware: this is true for any RF remote: it cannot send RF commands direct to the Bose system

There is a huge library of IR codes (Mega Code List) that should give you a large percentage of codes without learning: but if you do need to learn codes, you need to buy another optional box called an IR learner: the IR learner is intended only for dealers but some may agree to sell it to you: I have found there are always some codes you can only get from learning

you can also import codes from Pronto and other remotes in Hex format, and the T2+ will control RS232 devices (but only one way) as well

I love the T2+: I think it is one of the best systems out there and is very user friendly
