Hi all! I have problems with my T2. The low battery icon appers just after 5-10minutes of use, even with a fresh battery. A fully charged battery shows about 5.5 volt when meassured with a multimeter. The T2 stops working around 5.0-5.1 volts. The manual says about 3-4 h of charge before full battery. When I put the "dead battery" in the charger the LED flashes for about 5-10minutes then the flashes stop. I have tired charge the battery over night, same thing. Both batteries behave the same.
Is it the batteries or the remote?
Can anyone check the voltages on the batteries before and after a charge and when the T2 says low battery.
The T2 was "new old stock". Unsued, mint and boxed.
Thanks for your time.

bad battery
I measure 5.75 volts from a fully charged battery but that does not tell the whole story: an old battery will quickly drop off and needs to be replaced

Clean the contacts on the battery, the charger and the remote with a pencil eraser, then try charging the battery again. if that does not work the batery is dead.

I've tried cleaning the contacts but it doesn't help. Thanks anyway.
Any other suggestions? Or should I "hope" it's the batteries...?

Typically I would say that your batteries are a goner, but the reality is this, your battery is only holding a surface charge. If you were to connect a 6 –12 volt flashlight lamp up to the battery until the light goes out, and then put the battery back on the charger, you may be able to extend the life of your packs. I have done this successfully with other batteries.
RTI is supposed to start supplying replacement parts again; I just don’t know when this will happen.

I'm gonna try to discharge the batteries tonight with a resistor(48ohm) which give about 100mA. Which will discharge the packs in about 9 h...slow and easy.
