When I perform copy/paste button operations the program says it has to close and send an error report to Bill Gates

This happens on two different PC's: one with Win XP and one running Win 2000

Anyone else see this?

Suggest you save your work often as when this fault pops up you lose everything not saved

I have tried but I cannot get my system to crash as you have described. Have you scaned your system for spyware or viruses recently?

this is an imported program from a legacy T2: both my systems run McAfee Virus Scan and are clean

If I just copy/paste the commands (not the button) it works OK: this is a repeatable error if I copy/paste the entire button

Otherwise I have been able to navigate most all of v2.0... without problems

Ya, I tried that, older imported T2 file but still no crash. To be perfectly honest I used to run Macafee and had all kinds of crash problems, I removed the program and have not any more problems. I would also recommend you run Lavasofts Ad-aware http://lavasoft.element5.com

The new mega XP service pack is now available from microsoft, install that, I dont know if that will help, but it is worth a try. Have you tried un-install re-installing 2.0

yes; just a few imported buttons that contain a macro/IR command

not a big deal: the workaround is easy

Just a note on the spyware software.

AdAware is a good program but it misses a few items.

There is another called Spybot that has an advantage over AdAware. You can tell it to immunize your computer and it will refuse to allow any known spyware to install. It also has an interesting tool. It can explain what most of the items in your startup menu are used for and tell you if they were installed by a virus.

Nothing is perfect though, it also misses a few items that AdAware catches, so I run both.

=======================================

No clue on the crashing problem. Using Windows XP Home and have not run into that even with imported files.

Thanks

what I have seen is a crash when performing a copy operation on an imported button with a macro (and in some cases a separate IR command)

My workaround is instead of trying to copy/paste the button with commands, I draw a new button and copy/paste the macro separately to it

The T2+ seems much better overall: more responsive and better RF range: I had to move the RF receiver module as the first location had the red LED flashing a lot (even though it still worked OK) : now I found a location where the RF receiver LED only shows green!

Still quite happy with the T2+
