Well I never thought I would hate a four-day weekend, but look what’s been going on. I am not sure where these accusations of defective product are coming from. To my knowledge, we have not been contacted by any of these people regarding problems with their T2’s.
From our latest production runs, we have had ZERO returns, the few problems people have had have been able to have been fixed over the phone or by e-mail.
From our pre-production run we only had four units that required service this was due to a minor RF antenna calibration issue. These four units were serviced and returned the same day we received them, and no unit has ever come back twice.

I can assure you that RTI engineering and quality control is thorough and un-compromising.
If you do have a problem, we will take care of you.

Thank You
Mitch @ RTI

MItch-Why won't these remotes work with H/K equipment. The range is limited by less than six feet.

OK Mitch how do you increase the gain on the infrared emitteres, how do you make the learning end of the business operate better, what do you recommend when the codes you learn and procede to set it have it crash your computer?

First of all, after ten years in the custom business, I have never needed to increase the gain of an emitter on a propriatary output operating only a single piece of gear. However, it may be a corrupt IR file that you are using. Try entering the raw IR code via hex code.
And for your crashing...Need more info: cpu config etc.
My cpu's have never had any problem at all.

Assuming Frank is talking about a H/K receiver, the exact same problem has been reported before in the Take Control and Pronto forums. It's not a problem with the remote, really, but rather a problem with the receiver. I'd suggest an IR repeater system of some sort (with a transmitting eye right over the H/K's sensor).

One has definitely got to think of the receiving end as well. Some have complained about the IR strength of their remotes with certain equipment, and blamed it on the remote. RS-1994 for example. Some need to be closer than 20 feet to their receivers. Sony seems to have great receiving devices, because I can point my RS-1994 backwards, at the ceiling, at the walls, and everything works. - greg

I've had the same problem with a particular Aiwa mini system and a JVC VCR -- using the same remote, I just can't miss the VCR, but I have to aim carefully at the mini system.
