Can anyone give some more details about the rumored new Sonance/RTI remote control?

I would love to hear details about it and its possible release date

Thanks

Release dates are not really set in stone yet, but will probably be after August. I am putting together a couple of Sonance new product web pages, so that every one can get a sneak peek of what the new stuff looks like. check back in a couple of days.

Note!
I think the coolest piece is the Sonance "Extreme Remote" which is a simple no display RTI based RF remote that will float harmlessly in your hot tub.

We have been told that Sonance's new president said they were getting away from their base and had cancelled any new remote controls.

This is true, but I am not at liberty to elaborate further

it would make sense for sonance to aquire rti and have them continue toward perfect remote solutions while sonance can continue to provide speakers and other equipment to pro installers. i cant believ sonance invested money in a cool waterproof remote and a cool touchscreen with video feed inputs and be willing to walk away from it. did rti aquire sonances designs? or is the waterproof hot tub remote going to fade away? i need to contact my rep and get the scoop. maybe something will be announced at cedia.

The president of RTI has been made offers but he wont sell. Sonance is a huge company, the money they invested in remote research was probobly not even a scratch in their research budget.

They should consider a "Strategic Alliance" How great would it be? RTI products offered thru Sonances huge array of dealers. My 2 cents

Well, that was exactly what they were going to do, with a few cosmetic changes thrown in. the Sonance remotes, are essentially RTI remotes, Except I think the Water remote was a different animal altogether
