Am interested in this as a solution for current home stereo. Have done a fair amount of research, but before I buy would like to verify a couple of things.
Can more than one (1) remote be connected to the same system?... That is, can I have two remotes working on RF on different floors working without conflict? From what I have seen, it is possible and control software can be downloaded to each remote. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Is the remote system with the RF box, cabable of RS-232 control of stereo components? It seems I have read that RS-232 control requires a module in addition to the RF box (which I haven't found available yet)... AND I have read the RF box has the capability. If an additional box is required, what is it?... How much do you expect it will cost?... and when do you expect it will become available? Also, is the RS-232 control bi-directional?
Does the RF box have the IR dongles that attach to the IR receivers on the stereo equipment? I assume it does, but thought I'd check (it appears the new Denon remote doesn't... and may rely on "placement" of an "IR relay"... just crossing my T's)...
What are the exact outputs/inputs on the RF box?
It seems the RF box can control 6 items... can the RF box be daisy chained to control more?... if not, can more than one box be configured?
In the case of a power interrupt, or power down... does any syncing need to be done between the remotes and the RF box?... or does everything just come back working?
I have read alot about add-on modules... how would they be configured into the system?... would they require a control port from the RF box's 6?... or is it done via another device?
I am terribly interested... Thank you, Cliff
