Is there any shortcuts to get a PC connection? I have a bad remote (Right side of touchscreen is dead), and can't get it to connect to upload the rti file. I have noticed on another remote that from the setup menu, if you press 8 it connects. But that won't work on this one either.

Don't bother. It's just another crapped out RTI screen. Then again send the complaint to RTI Installer. Make him a believer in the RTI "bone" theory!

Send it back to RTI. They'll replace it with another defective piece.

Take the six screws out of the back, take off the face plate, with the button membrane in place and the battery installed, gently pinch between the right side middle Lcd panel and the back of the remote, if the screen flashes on and off you have a loose connection, if you can keep it on long enough, you can probably get into control panel and get your file out. I saw a remote do that once, I just put a folded piece of paper between the face frame edge and the lcd panel, remote still works fine after 3 1/2 years.

gee1130 forgot to take his lithium today.
