Now that my RTI is actually shipping, I've started doing serious work with the software. So far, I don't see a way to change the font for the touchpad buttons. Is there one (a slightly smaller font would still be legible, I think, but allow a bit more than 5 letters on a regular button)?

It would appear there's only the one font size, in regular and bold variations.

You can use any one of your system fonts on the touchpanel by creating a bitmap with the Button Bitmap Editor and using the Text Tool to enter fonts and font sizes.

True, true. Though it can take a bit to make them look as good as the original.

giovanni,

I think you mis-understood. In the button bitmap editor (separate utility from designer where you can create custom bitmaps for buttons) there is a "text" tool (just like in any paint program). With this tool you can type in any font available on your system and then place that bitmap onto a button.

So, it is a bit more of a hassle than just putting the text on the button but not as bad as actually drawing your own fonts.

Also, I think the original intent wasn't to get fancy -- it was to squeeze more info onto the button than the default font will allow. Although, having seen what folks have done with the Pronto, I'm sure fancy is soon to follow...

Take care.
