Can anyone help me with what may be wrong with the following arcam AV8 converted to T2 for RS232...

Power on = Z1PWR1\n
Power off = Z1PWR0\n

The T2 takes the command and sends it to a laptop correctly. The AV8 is said to want ASCII commands. The line feed according to Arcam... and for T2 is \n. Even when I use the it doesn't work. The settings are 38.4K, 8, N, 1 for the AV8 and the T2. Output port of the IRF6 is Output 1.

Thanks.

In hopes that this will assist someone, I discovered last night the reason the command did not work. Arcam in the manual describes the character at the end as "line feed". The T2 manual describes \n as line feed. In fact, what Arcam wants in carriage return which the T2 manual describes as \r .

So, Z1PWR1\n should read Z1PWR1\r.
