I'm an end user, not an installer. I'm not here asking for Integration Designer or how to program, but I am in need of assistance and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a basic setup - two T3x remotes and a XP-3 controller. The backlight button on one of the remotes is flashing red/green, the display doesn't go to sleep and it isn't charging correctly on either dock. A reboot temporarily fixes it, but it still dies after being off the dock for a few hours. I've moved the controller in the same room as the remote and it doesn't make a difference. I've been told this is a known issue and RTI will repair, but I have to go through a dealer. Unfortunately, the dealer that set up my system has closed their doors and every dealer I've talked to tells me to take a flying leap since I didn't buy it from them. Do I have any options?

I'd send a message to RTI Vincent her on RC and see what can be done for you.

It is short sighted of other dealers not helping as you could then become a customer of theirs.

Spent a couple hours yesterday trying to find someone willing to help. Called RTI customer service again, who tell me to call the distributer. Distributer didn't really know how to respond, so they gave me the names of some dealers that buy from them. I got "we don't do residential" from one, another that stopped responding after 2 emails. Several "let me look into it, I'll call you right back" never to be heard from again. The guy that was just a couple miles down the road is no longer on RTI's dealer list, doesn't answer his phone or respond to emails. Guess I'll try calling RTI's support number tomorrow, but am pretty pessimistic at this point.

Sorry no one has come thru for you yet. I understand your frustration. Not sure why RTI would tell you to call a distributor versus giving you some contact numbers for dealers in proximity to your location.

As far as your problem, from what you are describing it does seem to fall in line with the symptoms of known issue on some of these remotes.

I will assist and follow thru. Sending you a PM now.

My sincerest apologies Gerard. I haven't been checking the message board on a regular basis. I responded to your PM. Thank you!
