I will cross post to the CI Lounge as I really need some help to finish up a project enhancement.

I have a client with 24 zones of audio using Niles ICS. I am looking to add some basic control in 3 zones for source selection and volume levels. I installed an RS232G to control a zone. After basically two days and a bunch of time trying to send commands via Hyper Terminal I am all out of ideas. I called Niles tech support and their answer was that they didn't even know this was possible. They thought the RS232G was to control 3rd party equipment and the only way that they have controlled ICS is with Elan. Years ago when ICS was new we controlled it with AMX but can't for the life of me remember how it was done.

Any help would be appreciated as that client and I are both going nuts!
