I have a control macro which calls a series of other macros to run a sequence of tasks. During this sequence I want to allow for an emergency break which will stop all devices, bring up dimmed lights etc. I have an emergency button system linked to the XP-6 sense port (eg when the button is pressed the sense goes high). I can use this to trigger an event to run a macro to set a flag but this does not suit the situation. Since macros run in sequence, the emergency macro will not run until the control macro has completed. Can anyone tell me how I might appropriately interrupt my control macro using the sensor?

Have this emergency button set a flag and within your huge running macro test for that flag. If it tests true make it issue the stop macro and run your other emergency macro...
