Hi All,
I grabbed a couple of client Logos and pics off the web Id like to drop into my IPAD device. How do I make it transparent so the White background stops showing up?
Thanks all

First, try to search and select for a .png file which usually have transparent backgrounds. If you do come across a .JPG, first you will have to save it is a .png. Then you will need to use editing software of your choice (Photoshop, Paintshop, etc.) to extract the background.
There are web tutorials everywhere. However, your best bet is to find what you are looking for with a transparent background already.

Basically, "transparent" is a color. Usually, it is called the "alpha, channel" and it can be set to be 0-100% opaque. Editing programs will allow any color to be replaced by the alpha channel.
Note that there are potential issues, depending on the image details. For example, if an image element fades into the background color and one replaces the background color with the alpha channel, the faded edge will probably look raggedy. In this case you'll need to blend the edges. The editing program may or may not be helpful for accomplishing this task.

i use Photoshop as well as GIMP2. GIMP is completely free and can add and adjust The Alpha Channel for transparency. https://www.gimp.org/
