I have a T3-V remote and use it to control my RTIdock from the screen of the remote. This is good for playing music in one room while the TV is on in another. I'm adding an Apple TV so I can have a video server as well. I would like to be able to see the Apple TV menu on the RTI remote and change songs, etc. from there. That way, someone could be watching the TV and not see the Apple TV menu.
I'm not a dealer, I just want to know what is possible so I can get my RTI dealer to set this up. I haven't had the best luck with a dealer knowing all that is possible.

Currently there is no feed back from Apple TV to an RTI remote. You need a monitor to see what is going on.

Sounds like a DIYer... You do realize the AppleTV 3 goes for $69 new?

Pick up the Gen3. There is a paid driver on the RTI forum that allows you to control it and there is some 2-way feedback for music / cover art. Your dealer can help you with this.
There are some who utilize the first gen for the component connection if they happen to own a 6K Pioneer Plasma especially.
