I have 2x RJS-232 RJ45 to RS-232 connectors, I think they came with the XP6 I cant find any info on how that should be connected i have checked the dealers site and got a big fat zero do they need a null modem cable what is their MAC address , how do I find this out
any info will be a big help

I always struggle with this. Most of the time it is faster and easier to swap pins two and three, then try again -- unless, one side needs flow control. Then you'll be messing with pins seven and eight too. Most of the time neither side supports pins seven and eight. As a hedge it is usually not wrong to jump pins seven and eight on the client end of the cable.

You didn't mention the device you are trying to control so it's difficult to help.
A null modem vs. straight cable would be indicated in the product protocol. If it is a Null modem you will need a gender changer with reversed pins. You must use the RTi supplied connectors. A Mac address does not apply.

XP-6 Manual Page 16 has the pin configuration. Found it on the dealer site.
