Hi guys. I've got an RTI T2-C+ integrated with a Crestron system, and I want to program a button to recall and save presets. While I have it working, I would love to add an audio event if the user holds the button for 3 seconds to save a new preset so they know the preset has been saved.

I know I can use conditional logic to either send one of two separate codes based on held or not, but in the interest of streaming lining my main program, I'd love for this logic to be handled in the RTI if possible. The button needs to continue to send the RF command during the entire press, but after 3 seconds it should also beep.

I've played with this quite a bit, but I cannot get the RTI to both track the button press time AND send the RF command.

Any ideas?

There is a press and hold "macro command" that you can use that determines what a button does based on how long its held. Well, in other words, it will do one thing when pressed and another when pressed for a certain amount of time. This pretty much allows you to build two macros on one button. There is also a beep macro command that you can use. This is assuming you're using integration designer to do this.

Don't create a press and hold to store presets. Rather, create a "Store Preset" button that will set a flag. Check for that flag on each of the presets button and if it exists store that value as a preset and clear the flag. That is how RTI does it on all their interfaces.
