Haven't seen any reviews on T3x. Are the touchscreen issues fixed?

I got one and was immediately put off: where are the number keys? I programmed the home screen with large number keys but I still miss the hard buttons: and now you have to wait for the remote to wake up before you can hit a number

Once you get past that: it is a really nice remote: the touchscreen is bright and responsive: but when sitting on a desk you can see the back light across the top of the screen where there is a gap: worse than on T2x. Metadata and cover art look really good.

The remote is very quick and responsive: seems like I can scroll through channels faster...when doing updates via WiFi, it finds the remote quickly and all updates went well

the T3x will fit loosely in a T2x charge base and it will charge it: but it wobbles in the base a bit

I planned on replacing older T2C's in the house with T3x before I realized it did not have number keys...now I am not so sure.

The T3 series never had number keys.
You get what you pay for.

Thanks for the review. Is the touchscreen more like a phone touchscreen (ie., Galaxy) with that kind or response and scrolling screen to screen?

On the T2x I immediately gave up using the remote gestures as they don't work. Curious if they are any better with the T3X?

understood: but the T3x is almost identical to the T2x in form factor, and number keys would have been nice...

David

not sure I can compare it to a phone touchscreen but scrolling screen to screen works well: about the same as on the T2x

I have not tried gestures yet

It's available from RTI, in the dealer section. If your not a dealer then you may be out of luck.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
