So it seems that RTI remotes can control the new X1 boxes from Comcast...
With the following criteria:
1: I learned the codes with book between the remote and ir-pro (Lift the book after about a second of pressing whichever function)
2: You are NOT using RF (I was attempting to use a RP-1)

For me the second criteria basically makes all my RTI installations expensive paper weights as I use processors on 99% of my installs.

In all my years of using RTI I've never had to use their customer support but I'm not holding my breath. I tried calling and after waiting on hold for 12 minutes they hung up on me. I will also follow up with an email, but what gives?

I have heard of success with URC and Harmony remotes.

I also saw a thread where people claimed that Pronto works and that you can pull the codes from that. Definitely don't want to invest time/money into it if it doesn't really work.

There is a clean file floating around on the RTI forum.

Why can't you use RF? I've never had a IR controlled device that I could control IR from the RtI remote but not RF to IR via the processor

I can confirm you can use RF with the driver linked. I have personally done this with RTI. And will be doing it with Crestron on Monday.

Just changed a T2c with RP-1 to the x1 system last week. Codes were in the RTI database or megalist, I forget which. No issues.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

This thread is simply not correct. The new Xfinity codes are XG1-P in the megalist. We have programmed these boxes with absolutely no issues. In fact, there are discrete codes so this is one of the better situations. Last, there are limited functions which makes it easier for customers.

Please try the XG1-P codes and kindly revise your post. I would be happy to email you the codeset if you don't have it.

I would have to agree with TCR, I've done many a system that upgraded to Xfinity without any problems from the RTI side, Xfinity side is another issue altogether. As I'm typing this I'm at a customer's house with all Xfinity and being controlled from XP-3s, an XP-6 and a PCM-4 from iPads and Surfirs with no problems, all from the codes in the latest master list.
You get what you pay for.

Programmed a T2i with an Xp-6 this morning communicating with an X1 box. I used the file I linked previously. Worked like it was supposed to work.

Anyone willing to send me the X1 codes for RTI? Would be much appreciated. I tried learning them but no go, and it looks like people have had lots of trouble learning them.

- Asked too soon. The codes in the mega list are close enough for my purposes.
