Using the XP6, I am not finding luck controlling the AV7702.
Static or DHCP; neither works.
Port 23 set on RTI.

I just got off a project a month ago that had a Marantz SR7008 and it worked.

running updated firmware on the marantz and XP6.

A couple of months ago, another Marantz (AV7701) was changed to crestron control and worked after about an hour of fiddlefarting around.

Any Insight? No RTI forums available at the moment.

as far as im aware the rti driver available is for the SR range of receivers. to be honest ive never looked into anything else - the major retailers here in aus sell marantz to customers for cheaper then the distributors sell to me for so ive never bothered.

im not sure if marantz would have different programming between units - but its always a possibility.

Which driver are you using?

The one that should be used is the Denon/Marantz driver.
Recently Denon and Marantz started using the same RS232 / IP control code set.

I would expect if using the SR series driver it would not work as you have found out.

Yes, the new driver,
Just never done it with the AV7702. It is connected up by serial right now and working fine. Just want to get everything on IP if possible.
Not a lot of info I can find for IP control.

Are you trying to turn the AV7702 on and it is not working?
I was always getting caught out with the Denon units needing a off command first to respond to RS232 / IP control.
Not sure if this is still the case, I'm now in the habit of having the unit on and turning it off with the control system first before testing.

The other thing to check is the Network Stand By Mode is set to Always On.

you should stick with RS232: IP control is always problematic with Denon/Marantz

Thanks mR Freeze. I will try sending and OFF and then delay and ON. Default is always ON for IP control and I did check it.
In the browser interface there is a field for port setting, but it would not let me
do anything. Must only be for Proxy use?

I could just use RS-232, but my brain won't let me. :)
The other projects are working fine so far with IP.
Getting a separate router and putting the XP-6 and Marantz only on this setup and testing again.

I've had issues with IP control of Marantz products in the past as well. Rs232 for these is much more stable
