We have been using IP control on Directv receivers for some time. My programmer recently set it up combined with XP6 and T2x at my place. The IP Directv control has intermittently been very slow. Push several buttons and nothing happens. Then after 10 seconds all the commands previously sent occur in sequence. It seems they are stored and then catch up. It is not always this way, but pretty regularly occurs. The Roku is set up IP as well without any issues. Any insight on this issue? Tempted to go back to infrared at this point. Thanks

Is this a directv genie box? If so their have been a lot of issues with those via IP. However the non-genie boxes I do all the time without issue. Have bars with over a dozen being controlled IP with feedback of the current channel, show title, info, etc for each

Yes it is an HR44 Genie. Can you point me in the direction of any threads associated with the IP problem with Genies? Thanks

These threads that I've read are all on the RTI dealer forum. If you're a dealer login to the dealer portion of their website and you can find the link and setup an account there.

If this does apply to you as a dealer then I highly suggest using this forum! Their are dozens of dealers on their, third party drivers that are only found via the forum and also even Rti engineers and employees post responses. Some of the brightest and best Rti programmers I've ever met are regulars on the dealer forum so it provides and endless resource of information.

Thanks I will check out the dealer forum. On this particular problem, I found that the Genie (HR44) in question was set to wireless. You have to return the network settings to default before the HR44 will recognize a ethernet connection. Somewhat weird! It is now working flawlessly.
