Thanks John,

That's a bit of good advice. I'm working with Gil to get one of his custom cables. Here is the email I have for him: [email protected]

Hey People,

First, bowlerj - yes I have more codes than originally posted. Yes I accept paypal [email protected].

Second, All T2 owners - I've seen the T2 DA90ESG codes you don't have single codes to change sound fields, you have very few discrete codes - you still have to use the GUI to change most functions. I suggest the ultimate solution is my cable with the T2 - this would give you all the discrete codes plus the GUI functionality to change setup configuration.

Third, All VisionTouch owners (any Visiontouch System)the easy solution for non-pronto owners is my cable and a PDA (with freeware) to train a $10 learning universal remote.

Thanks for your attention.

Gil

I reported above that I used Gil's Slink/Control-A1 cable working with my One For All remote. His solution works great but use of the JP1 programming cable and software it did require some technical skills.

Well, I have some great news. With the help of Jon Sigman at UEI I now have direct control of my DA90ESG with the $25 One for All URC-8811. I have a complete functional replacement for the OEM remote via direct 455kHz signal control. I sent him my OEM remote and in about a week he got this direct solution working.

Jon indicated that in about 1 month they should be including this support as a standard setup code in their remotes. All of their recent remotes (and some older models) are upgradeable. If you call their tech support you should reference the setup code RCVR/1442.
