Hi Guys

As a new RTi dealer (few weeks), what's RTI's track record as far as updates for new iOS releases? Will find out in a few days if RTIPanel breaks on iOS8, if so, how long does RTI typically take to issue updates?

Also, what do you think the chances of HomeKit support are and when? Two things I'd love to see are:
  • Support for Apple Remote App (will make it much easier to control AppleTV for example)
  • Siri support

Are we likely to see a version of RTIPanel for Apple Watch?

Regards

Mark

I highly doubt RTIpanel will break with iOS 8. It hasn't had issues with any other releases. As for updates to work with HomeKit, iPhone 6/6+ resolution, and Siri... The resolutions will come but it may take a while. One reason I love RTI is that they test and test and test before a release. So they won't be the first to come out with it, but when it comes out it works, period. Siri and home kit: who knows. They have drivers for that system that allows you to place MoCa through the home and do speech control (think it's viper). Which I've heard awesome things about. Then prior to iOS 7 the guys from VortexBox had almost finished a plugin that would allow Siri to work and control Rti. They were demoing the beta and then iOS 7 put that to bed.

I've seen a few posts from you recently. As a new dealer, if you aren't already aware, you should sign up for the Rti dealer forum! This is where you get access to drivers from third party developers and also can talk to Rti engineers, employees and some of the brightest Rti installers I've ever had the pleasure of knowing! If these guys can't solve you're issues no one can. To me it's a must use resource for any Rti dealer for the drivers if nothing else as their are hundreds on the forum that Rti doesn't have personally
