Because of the new "Smart Door openers" Touching the wires together no longer activates the doors. So the relay does not work. I read someone tried to solder to the back of an opener, but that was unsuccessful. Any Ideas?

We interfaced with 6 doors recently on a job and had the same issue, found out the door openers required an interface from the manufacturer.

It allowed a contact closure to trigger the digital/proprietary signal.

What model or make door openers are you guys seeing this with?

Thankfully I haven't ran into it yet but would like to know what to look for so I can hopefully make the customer aware of it ahead of time

Units we had to deal with were Overhead Door. Not sure on the models but the interface they finally got us were black boxes that took our contact closure in and sent their signal out. No power, no batteries, so we assumed it was powered on the 2 wires for control on the motor side
