I recently picked up a new customer, he owns a T2-C and is experiencing the "White Screen of Death". I came here and read the many threads on this subject. I have ordered a new battery, brought him a loaner remote & charger (T3-V). I took his remote back to my shop, turned the internal switch off, replaced the battery with the new one, charged the unit in the cradle. Then I turned the switch to ON and the unit booted and I have hit every button and combination on the remote and NO "White Screen of Death". Just to satisfy my curiosity I replaced the New battery with the Old and repeated the charge and boot and still no "White Screen of Death". Now I am wondering if there can be another issue in his home causing the problem, anyone have any similar issues? Any suggestions - send it in to RTI - make another trip to his house to see if the problem comes back again? What about the RP-6? Any known issues with them?
So far he hasn't called me with any issues with the loaner.

There was a bad batch of T2-C's from RTI previous manufactureer. The problem is a hardware issue, not a battery one. Contact RTI, they may still be doing something for customers with these toads.

There aren't really issues with RP-6's. Out of hundreds installed over the years, I've only had one go bad, and it was probably a surge that took it out.
