Hi everyone, first time here.

i´m Programming an XP-8 to control aVu+ Ultimo and cannot find a way to control with IP on XP-8.
And i cannot find any serial command for the RS232 port.

So that leaves IR.

Cursor down, up, left, right. are really strange.

I learn direct from remote of Vu+, but when XP-8 sends it I either have to click really fast severaltimes for the Vu+ to react.
Or if i learn ir wit a longer button puch it jumps 3steps.

I think i somehow need to clean the IR codes...or if someone can explain how to control XP-8 via IP.

Any ideas :-)

Have you contacted the manufacturer to get the RS-232 commands?

I got it confirmed no, rs232 port is only for debug. Not able to control.

Though luck for me have to find a way to "clean" the Ir codes then.... :-)

For the IR control try either adjusting the IR output level from your processor and manually changing the number of minimum repeats and if you do so make sure sustain is turned off for the buttons on remote. This will help make the code run a little longer but not get the multi step response you we now sometimes

That is borderline false advertisement. Why bother putting it in all their marketing specs if it's for service purposes only?

I agree, I have now continued to try to read in the IR hex codes. But there is something wrong when i read them.

They work but, first press works second don´t and third it jumps three steps...i think i got to much hex so to speak.
