so im doing a bar for my buddy, im doing a T2b for control off xp6 and rm433. i have 2 stb w 2 hdmi splitters for 4 tvs. havent done a setup like this in my tenor believe it or not. system is simple, tvs w audio all from tvs. they prob wont be using volume much since i have a nuvo system blasting tunes...

i need a simple way to setup the touchscreen for the bartenders to control the switching back and forth for two sets? can anyone share some layouts w me so i get an idea ?

much appreciated

First, give them a keypad first, handhelds don't last long in bars, (drinks spilled, dropped, lost, etc.). Audio from the TVs' is a bad idea, won't be able to get loud enough when the place is crowded, run the cable boxes' audio into the Nuvo.

TRCGroup is right - a T2-B is not going to survive in that environment. Once thing you could do is give them an iPHone/Android phone or iTouch app since they probably have one laying around anyway. Doubling that up with a SurfIR remote is a quick and dirty way for them to control the system and an inexpensive remote in case of a calamity.

We have done bars with iPad / Launcport / In-wall docks with SURFiR remotes and have had good results and positive feedback.

Regardless of what device you use make the home page have buttons to select which TV/stb you control. They just make the selection and start controlling. Then quick and easy to hit home button and change between devices

Use an RTI app on an itouch, put it in a water resistant case, and put it in kiosk mode,  they are bright low cost and very durable
