Hello folks,

I have a small issue that I cant seem to eliminate. The 8800 touchscreen thermostats from Aprilaire seem to light up and off for no reason after I upload my program, or after I've made a change. I take that back, even now as I type this message the thermostat just decided to start lighting up. It stays lit up for about 5 seconds, and off for about 3. Its pretty annoying.

Here is a brief list of the gear I'm using.

Control Processor: RTI XP8s
Remote Control: Ipad Mini
8800 thermostats
8819 automation module (it came with its own little rs232 module in addition to the larger one)

I have full two way communication and control, I just cant seem to figure out why the back lights on the thermostats themselves keep turning on and off. Thanks for any help!

We have used these on several projects and when you first download to the xp, it initiates a connection to the aprilaire and this lights up the stats. If you look at it while it does this it will read in the 8800 display something to the effect of "RTI..." although I don't recall the exact message. I have not seen them light up after that though.
