Are you using and emitter on the Bluray player? if so, is it in the right place? are you using IR routing? if so do you have the codes going to the correct port?

Yes, I'm in the right spot. Yes I'm using IR routing, yes I'm on the right port. I've tried it through the iRCB & by itself with NO RESPONSE. I think I'm going to have to swap it out. Sucksssssssss

I was playing around with a pronto rfx-9600 and then I just switched emitter cables and everything worked perfectly. Also, are you using the emitter cable that came with the system?

ProLink does not come with any IR cables. I used a single Epksode IR emitter & a dual IR emitter to no avail.

if you use a digital camera/cell phone camera, can you see the emitter blink when you issue a command from the remote?      *hold the camera close to the emitter so you can see it blink if its working

That doesn't always work anymore. A lot of phones have a built-in IR filter now. My old iPhone 4 would not see the IR flash from the back camera, but would see it from the front.

Therefore, try it out right now with your phone and a working remote control. Then you'll know for the future. It's still worth a try if you don't know.

If you see a flash, then your system is emitting IR and your camera can see it. If it does not work, you won't know whether the system is working or whether your camera does not pick up IR... but a factory remote that works will pin down that mystery!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

PCS IR library has now been updated in 1.3.1 to accommodate the BD-F Series of blu ray players.

Mike,

I am experiencing same problem with Samsung BD-F5900 and I am running PCS ver 1.3.1. Tried Samsung driver in library and learned all codes with no joy.

I have a Samsung BD-F5900 running in RTI without a problem. Copy IR commands from RTI database over to ProControl and you should be good to go.

If you created the system file in a previous version of Pro Control, you may have to right click your code set under controlled devices and select update IR codes. Also be sure your using, samsung blu ray all models, IR code set. Works fine on my bd-f5900.

I have had problems with some of the IR codes in PCS. GO to the PCS IR Library. Click Remote, then Import. Go to Integration designer, Command Libraries, Then Choose whatever library you are using for Integration designer. If you do not have anything you can download the Maga list 21 on this site. Choose what ever codes you need. It will import them to the PCS. I have had to do this form some Samsung BluRays, and LG Tv's.

Rated M is correct. Thanks for posting. The BD-f5900 codes were fixed (I bought the player myself and hand delivered it to our engineering dept for testing). The fixed code set is in the current version of PCS, so (using M's words): If you created the system file in a previous version of Pro Control, right click your code set under controlled devices and select update IR codes. Also be sure your using "Samsung Blu Ray All Models" IR code set.
