I counted on the question of a link from someone on RTI by contacting my pm - I wanted to help the company with which I am not even a any remote, but instead it happened to me a charge of theft, and now you are my friend call me an asshole -- very, very nice.

You're an idiot or what ????

No, I would definitely say you're the idiot. If you truly wanted to let RTI know about this so they could do something about it, you should have contacted them directly instead of posting the link to a public forum.

You're wrong - I wrote only that soft is available for download, then you should pay attention to someone with RTI who are reading this forum and was able to contact me via pm.
Do you think that if I wrote an email to RTI, a RTI leave me answer? I do not think, especially now, when our friend from the forum related to the RTI instead ask me for details call me a thief.
And you, my friend whom I know do not even call me an idiot - I think it will leave you a bad reputation.

So much for the topic.

P.S.

In more difficult sentences I use google translator - because my English can by strange, sorry about that :)

Have fun boys! Hopefully the illegal pirating domain will have all the firmware and patches you need to get things to work properly on your end also.

It wouldn't be necessary to do this if RTI would provide the end user software access on request.. I mean for a $900 remote, I SHOULD have access to the software I need to program MY REMOTE the way I WANT TO! NO DEALER can do what I want (I asked). And the nearest is 60 miles away ( I checked! ) and they want almost as much as I paid for the remote to program it! (slight exaggeration...)

I move all over the world and change equipment rather frequently - needing to call some dealer to send out a tech to do half the job I can do - while charging me a small fortune is entirely unacceptable!!

I will "steal" the software (how is stealing when NO ONE is affected? I would not otherwise be calling a dealer - I'll be buying a remote from someone who gives me access to the software I need! Maybe the $100 Logitech remote was a better idea??).

This RTI remote will be going back if I don't get this resolved, ASAP!

Do you need a mailing address?

If you had done just a little research you would have known before buying the remote that the software was dealer only. This would have solved all of your problems.

NO DEALER can do what I want (I asked).

Then you didn't talk to the right dealer or what you're asking is impossible.

Id love to no what NO DEALER CAN DO... email me at [email protected] and let me know. If the dealer in your area cant do what you want, ill do it and send them the file so they can get you setup. I program for a number of AUTHORIZED dealers who dont have the time or just are not capable of programming larger and more complex systems.

Please do not ask me privately or publicly for the RTI software. I have signed an agreement with RTI. So whether I agree or not with the policy I cannot give you a copy of the software. No matter how much you hate RTI and the policy I am not taking taking that risk.

Far from honor, it is not worth the risk, nor the headache. Nothing personal to anyone either, it is the way it is...

There was a day and time when I cared if a non pro got the software. Now a days I could care less, obviously this is not my customer base. This is RTI's policy and I am not going risk getting cut off.

Don't think you're a thief, but for posting the link you're definitely an asshole!

Uhhhh, Bob... now that you've quoted his post, he cannot change it by removing the link from this thread if he wants to. He now has to depend on you to take the time to come back here and remove it. It would have been better for you to break the link while posting it!

If English is his second language, wouldn't it help him to spell apologize correctly so he can look it up? And maybe spell out wtf or use a nicer term that you're willing to write out?

Yabba,
you caused a bunch of this by hiding behind the name Yabba, which, for all we know, is part of a Fred Flintstone yell -- we don't know what it means to you. You don't say where you're from, and your profile is basically empty. How do we know whom we're helping?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

OK Annoyed, I'll bite....What do you want your system to do that an RTI system could not pull off?

BTW, the word "robust" has never come out of my mouth when talking about Logitech product, unless it was preceded by "not".
