I'm having a problem controlling a Niles ZR4 via Rs232 I'm using a XP6 processor with the RJ45 to RS232 adaptors, which is connected to a straight pass thru RS232 to mini plug cable.

Thanks, Danny

OK.

It's really hard to help if you don't give us much information.

I have struggled with this before also. We ended up with a CAT5e cable with an RJ45 on the processor end and solder/crimping the Tx/Rx/C conductors to a 3.5mm TRS connector into the Niles ZR6. I forgot the pinout, you will need to look at the XP6 and ZR6 documents.

We did similar on a ZR-6...We may have used a URC remote cable..been awhile
has been a couple of years now but no issues on any we have done
The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.
