From other libraries I have found discrete IR commands for most everything - except the Clock and Timer option.
As the set is also the alarm clock, and something we need to adjust on a nearly nightly basis - the current path of Home - scrolling to select Preferences and then scrolling to select Clock/Timer is a developing habit, but something I would also like to avoid. As it takes a bit of time for the menu options to populate, devising a macro isn't always reliable either.
An older Sony library had a code for Clock/Timer - but the new set seems unaware of this prior command set - perhaps not too surprising.
So, hoping someone here has a line on this - and perhaps other discrete commands to access other areas of the Home Menu blur of options.
Much appreciated

Is there a button for it on the factory remote?

No - but there isn't a button for the Timer either and I have the code for that as well as the discrete codes for the different HDMI inputs. There are a blur of options under the Home Menu - some do correlate to other discrete commands, and some even correlate to key buttons. But as there have been past sets that had codes for the Clock/Timer it seems reasonable to hope that there may be a discrete one for this set as well.

What has Sony's tech support told you?
