Hi all,
I have a Yamaha RX-V1200 receiver and I wonder if I can connect the IRF6 to the receivers ir input instead of using an ir-emitter?
I guess that it will work I just want to be sure!

I do this with my LExicon MC-1. I had to turn the IR level way down though.

Yes, it is supposed to work. In some instances you may need to use a Xantech interface module, depending on the characteristics of the device.
I have tried to do this with an Arcam DVD, and even with the interface have not yet been successful.
If you need an interface, you can call Xantech tech support or Kevin at RTI tech support for the Xantech model number. In most instances it will be the 794 block and the cables out such as 3.5 mm or RCA plug will need to be specified. Xantech's website will tell you what cables are supplied with each model
