I have a client with a t-3 that is on its last leg. He wants to get a t-3v. Will I be able to dump the program right in or am I going to have some problems.

It will convert, but there are some caviats. The screen resolution is different, so everything will look pixelated. You will need to convert the file in ID first, then send to the new remote.

In all honesty, you wouldn't be doing your client any justice by converting a T3 to a T3-V. The T3's 240x320 resolution will look terrible if blown up to 480x640. You may even see pixels in the graphics.
Swapping graphics should not be too difficult - you should really consider that before giving him a high resolution remote with LOW resolution graphics. Just my opinion.

You can convert from a T3 to a T3V VERY easy. BUT you HAVE to change the graphics to the higher resolution graphics, which honestly is quite easy.
