Quick question. I'm being lazy and not searching. Can RTI remotes be added on top of Crestron systems?

What about for Prodigy processors? If I've got a customer who has a whole house of prodigy lighting, audio, and keypads already can I add RTI to rooms and be able to reliably control their system?

Yes provided you use the Crestron CNRFGWA 433 MHz RF gateway for RTI handheld controllers to communicate with Crestron processors. The RTI remotes can output Crestron Trigger commands for the macros living on the Crestron processor.

Can it issue individual IR commands from the processor and not just Macros? channel changing and volume control, for example.

Yes. Are you programming in SIMPL or SB?

RTI has the Crestron RF codes on the dealer side of their site.
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

Yes, you need to add an ST-1550C panel to the project as well as the gateway mentioned above. and then edit the buttons in VTPro,

Keep in mind the gateway has to physically be added to the system, but the panel is a dummy panel. just to give the processor something to link the digital joins with.

Also, its a huge PITA. If you do it, dont use any joins under 100 (in any panel) and test every command out. because some joins dont work for unknown reasons. And Mute has to be set up as a toggle in RTI. using the Crestron command Mute On/Mute Off.

Ill just pass then. I don't need anything to further complicate our Crestron installs. I appreciate all the responses!

smart move. I have it in my house set up this way and its a PITA, Pretty soon Im gonna just replace it with a few Crestron remotes. its just too bad the Crestron remotes do not appeal to me at all.

If you are programming in simpl, using an RTI remote in conjunction is very easy, and I've never had any troubl with joins. We regularly install systems with crestron TPs and a bunch of RTI T2-c for video zones.
