I will be very honest with my self and say that I totally see this going DIY even with all the dealers buying into it. The price point is totally meant for that DIY market.

So I will use it until they go I that direction and take me and my team of locusts with me ;)

Well wether it's direct from RTI which makes all the sense in the world it done efficiently I plan to support my local dudes to keep them gainfully employed.

Playing with the software now and I think it will work for what I am trying to with the product.

Now get that app released!

Just sat thru the initial webinar, and I'm pretty surprised that they can offer so much functionality at this price, particularly the 2way feedback of the Z unit.

imho, the lack of a chargin dock on the R is a deal breaker, though - I can't see a client wanting to deal with plugging in his remote to a cable each night (bad enought that they have to do so with their phones!)

ADI is the other distrubutor selling Pro Control remotes. We have been slow to advertise this as we do not have full branch stock as of yet, but there will be an anouncement soon.

ADI will not be selling the RTI brand at this time.

Sweet!!! Looks really cool. I played with the software and really think RTI has a winner. They should be able to capture that wierd NEVO business, and convert some URC guys. Not to mention help RTI guys (like myself) the ability to offer a better solution for our "entry' level clientele, hopefully creating a new customer base.

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the software? I'm a one man show installer that used to sell a lot of MX-450 remotes but I'm finding them hard to get hold of now and getting a little sick of the programming of them from the interface. I've contacted ProControl on numerous occasions but never heard back. Does anyone on have access to the software that I could have?

I buy all my product through Best Buy and they now offer the remote but no software.

I like ProControl a lot, but have you noticed if you want to create your own dual state button, there is no field in the properties when the button is selected to insert the pressed state?

It is set up just like RTI so you can format the image names, then browse them from an external folder and bring in a button with both states accounted for.

Then you can insert a third image as the "icon", which functions as an overlay. Took me forever to figure out the image formatting for buttons, backgrounds, etc...

I also wish they would give you the full canvas for an iPad project instead of limiting you to a square section and leaving the rest for the source scrolling menu in both orientations.

Other than some minor UI quirks, the software is solid.

You should try to contact ProControl over the phone. I have emailed them numerous times and had a reply in less than an hour. Phone support is great as well. You should also look into buying the product from a different place than best buy. Contact your local disty and get setup and you should be able to get the SW from them or sign up on the website and become authorized to receive the SW
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
